Animal testing #3

Last week we looked at my point and it is fairly clear to see that i am right but i think i will humor the opposition and disprove them once again and no i am not being cocky as i am always right. Anyway this time we have website which states hat animal testing is wrong because the tests do not properly correlate to actual effects on humans. The authors points out the example that chickens cannot get the cold while humans can and yet we test cold medicines on chickens for our own amusements just to see what will happen.

First let me say off that i don't care if we test a medicine on chickens, dogs or even rocks for that matter. The point is that the scientists are being amused and that they are enjoying themselves. Second the scientists are not checking whether the chickens imaginary cold will be gone or not instead they are checking what effect the drug has on the chickens heart lungs and livers. They are making sure that the drug is not lethal or does not cause any ill effects. They are not doing this for fun but they can if they want to instead they actually have a purpose which the author of the article totally wrongly misunderstood and therefore he has shown how little knowledge he has and now is not credible. So once again I am proven correct.

Animal testing #2

( insert witty introduction ), animal testing which you all know i am a strong proponent off. Since last week i discussed the cons of it i think it is fair that i discuss the pro's this time. On this website it discusses how animals should not be treated as humans or even slightly lumped in the category with them. This is because animals are not humans and should not be treated as such. Another opinion is that animals are on the planet for our enjoyment and we should use them as we please.

They almost state my opinion almost perfectly in that animals do not deserve humane treatment because 'human'e is only meant for humans. Animals must be used to advance the human condition and solely for the pleasures of humanity.

Animal testing #1

First off let me clearly state my position on the issue of animal testing and you can quote me on this "Animals are only here on the planet for humans, humans first animals second." Now that is my own opinion but i thought it my be better to start out with one that does follow my own mindset in order to understand my opponents view points. So as i began searching i thought to myself what is a die hard animal rights group and PETA came to my mind. Here is the opnion Website. Their main arguement is that the testing is inhumane because it causes pain to animals and that animals must die for no good reason. They propose that animals have rights equal to that of humans and should be treated fairly.

In my opinion PETA is asking for sensible things. Let's not hurt and kill stuff just because we can is part of my identity also. But PETA fails to recognize that the testing on the animals is tests for cancer curing drugs and for each animals they save the further we will be further from a cure. And because the cure takes longer to find people die. And so by transversal property PETA is killing humans. Yes readers PETA is killing their own kind as they give importance to animals over humans. I personally think we should care more about our family over the dog but hey that's just me. Humans first animals second.

Editorial

No idea what I am supposed to do or even if i was supposed to make a blog this week but here it is... Greece this cannot end well!. Since i am not sure what i am supposed to do i will summarize then speak my mind about it. To begin Greece is the weak link in the European Union and is bringing down the price of the Euro by not having enough cash and taking some major loans which they are unable to pay back. This leads Germany to get mad at Greece. Also because the European Union is getting bankrupted this basically defeats the point of the E.U. and may lead to no more E.U..
Now here's the fun part, my own thoughts are that Germany may get angry enough because they bear all the burden that they will declare WW3 ( not having learned from there previous wars of course) will invade all the countries that are unable to pay them back and forcibly seize properties of other nations. hmmm.... That sounds a lot like the banksand what they do to people in America but that's for later. Anyway Germany goes into a hissefit and now other nations start to worry and state that if they invade 1 more nation that they will go to war.
Here comes the irony... Germany soon realizes that all the lands they control look more like a real centralized European Union then what was at the time the E.U. and decide to just finish the job. And so they decide to just invade the rest of Europe...
Anyway if that does happen i am on Germany's side, so long as they don't have an evil dictator again, because i am sick and tired of all the bickering in europe and just want it to stop.

Government Protecting themselves

in an ARTICLE about raising gas prices that crippled the daily life of citizens in Bangladesh I found this image
I found many things interesting about this image and it's argument which I believe is that the government does is not involved with it's citizens
1) they have riot police on the streets just to make sure no riots happen or peaceful protests against the government
2) There is a man in the middle who represents the government, he is surrounded by his guards to protect him from anything which he may be at fault for.
3) That man in the center is not also experiencing the common citizens pains and as of such is disconnected.
4) The wall of policemen indicate that the man in the center is not approachable and therefore no real change can occur nor does it indicate that the government is listening to the public
5) This one is just a big extra but i think cnn is advertising Nokia because the blue bag is just randomly there and is a different color from everything else. Clever advertising if it is.

USPS Nearing Bankruptcy

According to the Chicago Tribune the USPS is nearing bankruptcy and would need to be bailed out at the end of next year. This is due to price control by the government, normal companies can raise prices but the USPS being a government agency must jump through bureaucratic hoops in order to increase the price of a stamp of package deliveries. The Tribune also says that this is unacceptable in America as companies should be entitled to use free enterprise to not go bankrupt. A simply solution to this problem would be to let the mail market become laissez faire and let customers chose who they want. Let's hope they fix this because i enjoy getting post cards and the occasional christmas card

Windows is slowly dieing

According to msnbc, windows is slowly becoming obsolete due to the rise of tablets like the ipad which are not only cheaper then many laptops but do everything you need. In response Microsoft is expected to release a new operating system, Windows 8. Windows 8 is based of off the windows phone and will be a more touch screen/trackpad based operating system. I personally believe that the days of windows is over as over 90% of users do not use computers for anything more then to surf, type document and plays games. they do no longer need Microsoft's complex structure of one operating system fits all but a one system fits three perfectly.
